Okay, so much thanks to TWoP and BBB for this great line:

I too used to have trouble recognizing humor in the written form until I pulled the giant stick out of my ass.

I tried to find Rex Morgan in the Sunday edition of the SF Chronicle but couldn't; I guess that means our city paper fails.

How is "God, you're a hag" funny?

It was the context. Someone on the TWoP forums finally got tired of someone else's constant hateful posts (about Rachael Ray, I think) and just let them have it, ending with, "God, you're a hag." It was awesome.
