even though I'm not supposed to or something
The problem with LJ: We all think we are so close, but really we know nothing about one another. So ask me something you think you should know about me. Something that should be obvious, but you have no idea about.

Current Mood: busy trying to write
Current Music: forever young--alphaville

Yes.

Hmmm. I have a feeling we've done this before...

It's all been done.

What State do you live in?
Alabama, which never would have even made my list. God works in mysterious ways.

Who are your favorite authors/stories/books?
My favorite book of all-time is A Tree Grows in Brooklyn. Yes, I am a cliche. But I've read it over a dozen times. I went through a period in high school where I'd finish it and immediately start over again. The last time I read it was probably three or four years ago. I still cried at parts.

Favorite food?
Pasta. Or chocolate.

What happens at the end of Shadows?
Pretty much what you'd expect.

I don't know what to expect. Enlighten me.

You wouldn't expect a happy ending? Everyone gets over themselves, yada yada.

What do you do? Like, as a job, if anything? Not where you work or anything that intrusive, just kind of in general.

Right now I'm a good old-fashioned housewife. With our situation in flux the last couple of years (big vacation, planning to move to another state, etc), I didn't look for anything, but now that we're staying put and getting a new plan together, I'm planning to look for something after the first of the year. I'm not going back to a cubicle, though. That was totally soul-crushing.

Forever Young! How awesome of you. Lessee.. I know you're in your lower thirties, named Lisa, housewife for a living and live in the south. I know you like pumpkin bread lattes in the fall (or was it gingerbread?), that you ship Touya/Tomoyo and Touya/Kaho, and that you're a Christian. You also enjoy snubbing comic book movies so you can watch obscure independent flicks, but you're wonderfully proletarian when it comes to reality TV and Babysitter's Club. Yikes, I've been reading your journal for a LONG time.

Okay, here's a question. Assuming cost and income weren't factors, what country outside the USA would you most like to live in (for at least a year)?
mellowcandle From: mellowcandle Date: October 21st, 2009 02:12 pm (UTC) (Link)
Actually Lisa is just my self-insert character's name. I picked it because it's close enough to mine.

I'd live in the UK, no question. I love it there. And maybe I'd finally actually see more of it if I were there more than a few days. I know D would pick Germany, and I could get behind that, too. A few years ago we talked about going and staying in London for an extended period of time--six months or however long you can go without needing a visa--and using that as a base to do some other traveling, but it was just going to be too expensive and impractical. I still hope we can do that some day.

What's your favourite flavour of pie and will you post a recipe for it? I've been trying to get my mom to make pie with me :).

Do you like me?
Bunches.

What mangas are you into right now?
Right now specifically I'm reading Love Com, Otomen, Ultimate Venus, Rasetsu... and probably a couple others I can't think of.

What's your favourite flavour of pie and will you post a recipe for it?
I love pumpkin pie and apple pie. I don't really ever bake pie though. I've only made apple pie twice, and it was one of Martha Stewart's recipes. It didn't turn out quite right, but I don't know if I did something wrong or it was just not the best recipe to use. I'll find it for you in a bit....

Favourite non-alcoholic drink?
Sweetened iced tea or chocolate milk.
