Otomen v13

Married by Morning had the most misleading title ever. I expected a hasty marriage-of-convenience or accidentally-caught-in-a-compromising-position thing, standard romance novel tropes. I was reading and said to D, "You know, I'm on page 280, and no one's gotten married yet. It should be called Married by the end of this Book, Maybe." Then they got married OFF-PAGE between the last chapter and the epilogue. WTF?

I really like Tropper's books, but seriously, I can only read one a year, because they make me cry. I'm going to have to wait a while before tackling his new one.

And D didn't get around to Otomen until Saturday night, so yesterday we were talking about it, and I said, "When is Asuka finally going to find out about his dad?" And D said, "Um, he already did." And I said, "Nuh-uh!" And he said, "Yeah-huh!" And so he showed me the "Previously on Otomen" section, which I never read, because, hi, I'm on volume 13, I don't need to reread that "Asuka is a boy but he likes girly things!" But there in the recap, it mentions it, and I'm like, "I don't remember that!" So I picked up volume 12 from the shelf and flipped through it, and I said, "None of this looks familiar."

I NEVER READ VOLUME 12!

So that's next. Um, yeah.
