maybe that's your problem
I'm listening to TV and look up at this commercial for a plastic soda can topper that makes your drink can more bottle-like. I guess some people might find that easier to drink out of? Otherwise this is the most useless invention since the Snuggie.

So I swear they show a woman standing next to her car pouring a can out, and the voiceover guy says, "Cans can't travel! What a waste!"

It's a waste because YOU'RE POURING IT OUT!

Cans travel in cupholders. Cars come with those.

Man, I wonder who is buying those things.

I do not know. I did not know the degree of difficulty involved in drinking from cans had reached some sort of unacceptable level. All these people were "Damn you, soda cans!" But this cheap plastic topper has eased their suffering. It's so magical.

The sad thing is, I think I know someone who would buy one just so they didn't have to touch their lips to a ~dirty~ can. Maybe I should save them one for Christmas.

And soda also comes in bottles anyway? So if you don't want cans, you can buy bottles? I never liked cans because of the tinny taste, not because they were hard to drink out of or dirty.

I'll admit I bought my mom a faux Snuggie. She's perpetually cold and likes to wrap up on the couch to watch movies.

I prefer cans to bottles. Clearly, I enjoy tin lol.

That just makes me think of that Jack N the Box commercial they keep playing with the old folks in Snuggies.

Cans have a nostalgic place for me--they remind me of picnics on the beach with my grandparents, and drinking from an icy cold can after playing in the gulf--but I'd much rather have a fountain drink, then a bottle. Pre-mixed canned/bottled drinks are just too syrupy sometimes. But then I've kinda weaned myself off soda and become an iced tea drinker since moving to the south, so there's that, too. No good iced tea comes in a can or bottle.
