For the month of 2009-11, there have been a total of 968 Hits and 399 Visitors to all of your stories.

No reviews, but OVG did make another favorites list.

I said I'd just be glad people are reading, and I am, but it is hard to improve when you don't get any feedback.

I've got four drabbles to write this month to complete my challenge. A couple of them are started, but.... I guess we'll see if I can do it.

Current Mood: lazy lazy
Current Music: time chasers on mst3k

Try a more active fandom?

I wouldn't know what. I write what I know and I like.

I have a idea for Terminator: Seduction. It involves Skynet locating within its data networks petabytes of pornography and erotic literature. After processing all the data, Skynet gains further understanding of the human psyche and it issues a new directive in the war on humans. Instead of Search and Destroy the order becomes Search and Seduce. Machines dishing out death are supplanted with machines that are built to arouse and deliver maximum desire and pleasure, undermining human will to resistance as well as their reproductive impulse.

The drabble would follow our protagonist, a female resistance fighter who is captured and finds herself confronted by a smoking hot machine hunk who is something out from every woman's dream.

You lost me at Skynet. I have no idea what any of that is.

You're not familiar with the Terminator story? I'm surprised, especially since you watch so much more movies than I do.

I don't watch movies just for the hell of it, though. They have to interest me on some level.

D's finally learned this after trying to show me Blade Runner twice. I fell asleep both times. Lord, that movie is dull.

Agreed on Dull Runner.

Oddly enough, I like Bubblegum Crisis, once again proving it's impossible to determine what I'll like or not like by any sort of listable criteria.

Eh, they have to be discerning readers to concrit well. I'm not sure ff.net readers, on the most part, fit that bill.
mellowcandle From: mellowcandle Date: December 1st, 2009 09:32 pm (UTC) (Link)
Well, that's certainly true.

Hey, genius, do you know HOW many times I've gone back to reread WIDK and bits and pieces of Shadows? How much you wanna bet that most of those visitors and hits were actually people coming back for second and third helpings? And we could leave a review everytime we do, but after a while it gets to the point where there's nothing to say except Update Please! And you've made it clear you don't want to see that, so...

Suck it up? And finish 'em.
mellowcandle From: mellowcandle Date: December 2nd, 2009 02:45 pm (UTC) (Link)
They do break down the hits by story, too, so I know my newer stuff is getting read but not reviewed. I lost all my reviewers when I moved to a new fandom. So I have no idea if what I'm doing there is any good.

I'll probably never finish the old ones. I'm so over them.
peacewish From: peacewish Date: December 2nd, 2009 07:07 pm (UTC) (Link)
True, I can't speak for your new obscure fandom. I thought smaller fandoms generally had more support and encouragement; guess I was wrong. But I still think you have a responsibility to your old stories. You can't complain people are too lazy to review when you can't even finish your own work.
mellowcandle From: mellowcandle Date: December 2nd, 2009 07:38 pm (UTC) (Link)
I enjoy exercising both my rights to be lazy and to complain.
