the analogy would work better if we went ourselves
Today was our first trip to the gym this year. Hadn't been since the Monday after Christmas. Of course, the parking lot was full with all the resolutionaries. D compared it to going to church on Easter and finding someone you've never seen before and will never see again sitting in your pew. These people usually last about four to six weeks, so we'll be able to get back to our regular routine. It's always a little awkward having a set of machines you want to do in a particular order, then having to work around whatever's free. I don't mind doing it, but there's a reason I like to do the hardest ones first, before I'm tired.
