With absolutely nothing on TV, Wednesday nights we watch our Moe Power Hour of K-ON! and Working!!

I'm so glad they've given Mugi a personality this year. Last year she seemed the least developed, but she's turned out to be delightfully weird. I still think of her whenever "Common People" comes up on my ipod.

If Yachiyo and Satou don't get together, then I don't know why I'm watching.

What would happen if you put Inami and Guy in the same room? Would he be able to run away before she could punch him?

Current Mood: amused amused
Current Music: blue monday--new order

What, you want to break up my not-quite-lesbians?

I'm a little confused by the way it seems to be going Takanashi/Inami instead of Takanashi/Taneshima like I'd expected in the beginning.

Well, they're sure spending a lot of time on their friendship if it's not going anywhere. I was about to be all impressed with them breaking the cliche of silent long-suffering unrequited feelings when he told her, but then he backtracked, and I was like, of course, because you can never have anyone in anime/manga just be upfront.

But I never saw the Takanashi/Taneshima as possible, mainly because he seems to think of her as a cute little puppy.

Maybe I'm just reading the whole thing wrong. I see Yachiyo's feelings for Kyouko as more of a hero-worship thing than a lesbian thing, so maybe I'm just missing everything.

It does seem kinda hero-worship, don't get me wrong, but when you constantly choose someone else over a person who has confessed their feelings to you, I wonder if it's something more. There is a lot of LesYay in here though I don't know if Kyouko will ever reciprocate. I think I've been reaching and will probably be disappointed. There is so little yuri in mainstream anime that I look for it when I can, but this will probably end up being Bait and Switch Lesbians for the het pairing.

I just figured Takanashi/Taneshima from the way that they met. And it was a little more focused in that direction before Inami showed up. The second girl never wins, right? It surprises me that it's headed in that direction. Then again, it could just be because Inami's man-punching got really old to me, really fast.

I'm used to being disappointed with my pairings, so I always expect the least satisfying outcome. And I'm tired of shows telegraphing the final pairing from the very start, so if anything turns out differently than I expect, I'll be impressed for that alone.

Is K-ON! good? I've thought about watching it but I wasn't sure if I'd like it or not.

I like it in spite of myself. D picked it because he loves him some moe schoolgirls, but I had to agree that it's pretty cute. The music is really catchy, too (although this season's opening theme-song is a bit chaotic). The mainish character got on my nerves something awful the first couple of episodes, and still does sometimes, but she's balanced out by the others.
