1. Which is your favorite fic?
Isn't this like asking a mother which is her favorite child? I don't have the foggiest idea. I like bits of all of them, and all of them have trouble spots. "This one is funnier, but that one has better characterization. This one has a strong emotional base, but that one has my OTP." I can't pick a favorite. I can't do it.
Okay. If forced to pick, then... Out Here. I reserve the right to change this at any time.
2. Which is your best-received fic?
This probably sounds like false modesty every time I say it, but, God as my witness, I have no idea how Shadows caught on like it did. Maybe because when I first posted it, there were only like two or three Touya/Tomoyo fics, and people were just glad to see something different. But, honestly, I'll never know why people latched onto it. The review count might be misleading because it has the most chapters, and therefore the most views, plus half the reviews are people asking why I'm not updating, so they don't really count. It's also on over 350 favorites lists.
In terms of one-shots, The CCS Fanfic Cliches Fanfic: A Parody has the most reviews, which is a shame, because the sequel is much, much better but hasn't gotten near the love. And of my one-shots, Fun and Games is on the most favorites lists. So those two would seem to be the most popular.
3. Which is your worst-received fic?
I probably shouldn't have posted A Woman's Touch, given that it has no point, really. I liked it at the time because it was the most IC I'd written Natalia to that point. There's no plot or any there there, but there are a couple of elements I've carried over to other Guy/Nat fic, so there's that. But when something has over 400 hits and only three reviews, you've gotta figure that you blew it with that one.
Of my CCS stuff, no one seems to like Home. Maybe because it's an Eriol POV, and either Eriol isn't that popular, or people don't come to my stuff for Eriol fic, or because I don't write Eriol well, or something. Or maybe it's just not good. (It's the only one of my stories on ff.net not to appear on a single favorites list. Even AWT is on three.)
And most of the stuff I've posted to my fic journal has gotten very little attention, but without a hit counter like ff.net, I don't know if people are reading or not. All I have to go on there is the lack of comments.
4. Which is your angsty-est fic?
What I Didn't Know. And it was only going to get worse.
And though not technically fic, we can't leave out
And For This One Night is up there, too. Who doesn't love some angst!sex?
5. Which is your funniest fic?
The CCS Fanfic Cliches Fanfic: A Sequel. It has every pairing you could possibly ever want. Touya/Yue, Touya/Nakuru, Touya/Tomoyo, Eriol/Tomoyo, Eriol/Sakura, Syaoran/Sakura, Kero/Sakura, and don't forget Kaho/Snape. I'll always be disappointed that this one didn't get as much love as the first one, because it's so much better.
Also Fun and Games.
6. Smuttiest?
I don't know if my porn is smutty, but in terms of explicit sexytimes, your best bets are either Perfection or Desk Set. And while Satisfaction Guaranteed is less porny than those two, I think it's still pretty good.
7. Fluffiest?
I have no idea. Treasure Hunt is pretty fluffy, but it's also not very good.
8. Have you ever made someone cry with a fic?
I think people said Seasons Change made them a bit teary. Heh heh heh....
9. Which fic frustrates you the most?
Shadows. Every couple of months someone will beg me to finish it, and I just can't go back to it. I can't. I hate that I can't, but I can't.
How Far is currently frustrating me because it's the only thing I'm working on, and I love it and hate it. I think it's a good idea, but I just think I'm botching the execution. What was I thinking? It has a plot! I can't write plots!
10. Which fic was the most fun to write?
The humor fics noted above, plus I Know It When I See It, Hopeless, and, I can't believe I'm going to say this, But It's My Birthday.
11. Who is your favorite OC you've ever created?
Merton, Guy's persnickety valet from How Far and Strawberries and Whipped Cream. He's a total stock character, but I love him. He gives Natalia a verbal sparring partner.
And Maggie, Kaho's best friend from t_d, turned out to be a great character once I fleshed her out more. She was just supposed to be in the background, but she became more important as things progressed, and she became a lot of fun.
12. Are you better at oneshot or multipart?
Have you ever seen me finish a multipart? There's your answer.
13. What character do you think you're the best at portraying?
I'd say Kaho, but I know that's only because I became comfortable with my own personal interpretation of her, which most people don't like. I'm told I do okay with Touya. I think my Anise is strong, and my Natalia has gotten much, much better, and my Guy is coming along.
14. What character is the most difficult to portray?
Hi, Tear. Sorry you never get to do much but be the straight man. Also Florian. I have no idea what the hell to do with that kid.
And Sakura is surprisingly difficult. You'll notice I never wrote her much. I didn't know what to do with her, either.
15. Tag five other authors!
I haven't kept track of who's done this already, so if you haven't and want to, I tag you.
