For some reason*, we watched a bunch of Schoolhouse Rock videos the other night.

So for the past four days I've had "I took a ferry to the Statue of Lib-er-tyyyyy" running through my head at all hours. Keeping me up in the middle of the night.

I thought it was finally gone.

I went into the kitchen just now to make lunch, and there's D singing, "I put a dime in the drug store record machiiiine."

Dude, stop it!

*Okay. It was my fault... at first... because I wanted to show D the Conan clip where they used "I'm just a bill". And so after that he started Youtubing them, and it was all downhill from there. Lolly, lolly, lolly.

I have a Schoolhouse Rock book somewhere that I got several years ago when it became popular again for a brief moment in time, lol. My favorite is 'Three is the magic number. A man and a woman had a little baby. Yes they did.'

LOL. (now I have that in my head...doh!)

I used to love the math ones. My third grade math teacher would show them in class. I think my favorite was the figure eight, where they showed how on its side it becomes infinity. I was mesmerized by that!

Man, Schoolhouse Rock was the best. Our educational shows were actually about math and history and stuff. Today kids get "educational" shows about the environment and self-esteem.
