sorry you've been backburnered, ccs

After finishing Log Horizon and working on finishing Chuunibyou, we pretty much mainlined Nagi no Asukara (which I can never remember what it's called, because we lovingly refer to it as Bubble Guppies).

D had found this by "accident" while he was looking for something else, and once we started and were completely loving it, I said, don't you dare go reading forums or looking at 4chan or whatever and getting spoiled! We'd watch two or three at a time, and finished it last night.

Oh, man, my favorite show of the year so far. The animation and music were gorgeous, the characters adorable, and all that adolescent romantic angst! You could make a video to "Love Stinks" with this show.

Around the time Chisaki asked Tsumugu to be her red-bellied slug, I said to D, I might have to ship them a little. He said I always pick the most random pairings, because obviously we were in for a Hikari/Manaka/Tsumugu triangle. BUT THEN IT BECAME CANON OMG! And after the time jump when they were living together and he was so obviously in love with her, and I basically spent the entire second half of the series waiting for them to just SAY IT. And I was like, seriously, Chisaki, look at that boy. Look at that HAIR. How are you not hitting that as hard as you can?

Seriously, the hair. I always love good hair.

But everything about this show I just loved. The whole story, every character, the ending.... although D is a Miuna fanboy. OF COURSE HE IS.

No fic from me though, because I've got too much else on my plate, but I'd love to have Chisaki visit him at school in her nurse's uniform. I just know he has to lock himself in his room every time he sees her in it.

And I kinda want to crossover-ship Uroko-sama and Kaho. That can't be wrong. Also, the idea of him being driven around in a car cracked me up for some reason. He may have gotten me over my instant aversion to characters with long silver hair. (We've also been rewatching Strawberry Panic, and yeah, I still hiss every time Shizuma comes on. I haaaaate her.)
